Odell Beckham fined for mimicking a peeing dog during TD celebration

Odell Beckham’s leg-lifting celebration last Sunday cost him a good amount of money.

According to multiple reports, Beckham was fined $12,154 for a touchdown celebration in which he got on all fours and then pretended he was a dog micturating on a rug. It’s good to know the NFL is still taking ridiculous amounts of money from its players for the truly important reasons.

Beckham has since implied that his celebration was actually a message to President Donald Trump after Trump’s comments, if you wish to believe that. Either way, it set off alarms that probably didn’t need to be set off. Coach Ben McAdoo, who supported kicker Josh Brown last season after domestic violence allegations, said Beckham pretending to be a dog was a poor reflection on him, the program and on the organization, the AP wrote. Beckham also had to meet with owner John Mara, who wasn’t happy. And then on top of it the NFL dug in his pockets for five figures worth of cash.

Yes, all because Beckham did an impression of a dog relieving himself.

Like with many things related to Beckham, there seems to be quite the overreaction to a tasteless but ultimately harmless celebration. Presumably he won’t act like a peeing dog anymore, because that is the biggest problem the Giants are facing these days.
