Nashville-based chain O'Charley's Restaurant & Bar has closed four Ohio locations as of Aug. 21.

The chain closed four of 20 total Ohio locations, according to the restaurant's website.

The Columbus locations that have closed include 4850 Morse Road on the Northeast Side and 1650 Georgesville Square Drive on the Far West Side.

Locations at 6285 Cleveland Ave. on the Northeast Side, 1657 Stringtown Road in Grove City, 2272 Baltimore-Reynoldsburg Road in Reynoldsburg and 6224 Gender Road in Canal Winchester remain open.

O'Charley's closed 18 total locations nationwide.

The restaurant chain's CEO, W. Craig Barber, issued a statement on the closings.

"It is always a difficult decision to close a store, but based on a variety of industry challenges and the macro-economic environment over the last few years, we closed these O’Charley’s locations as of August 21," said Barber. "We sincerely appreciate our loyal guests who have visited us ... while also being deeply grateful for the outstanding work of our operating team. We encourage our customers to visit us at any of our other restaurants across the Midwest, including several in Ohio."
