OC Jazz Band to perform 'Swing into Spring!'

Apr. 3—The Odessa College Jazz Band, under the direction of Eric Baker, department chair of Visual and Performing Arts, will perform a free concert at the Globe Theatre at 7 p.m. April 18.

The band, renowned for its talented student musicians, promises a lively and eclectic performance featuring an array of jazz styles such as swing, blues, funk, and Latin. The ensemble will showcase their versatility and passion for jazz, as they take the audience on a musical journey through the diverse world of this beloved genre.

"Swing into Spring!" is a free, family-friendly event that aims to bring the community together through the power of music. The audience can expect to hear classic jazz standards as well as contemporary hits, all arranged in the unique and lively style of the OC Jazz Band.
