Oblivion Battery episode 6 recap

The episode starts with Kei asking Yamada what baseball is. Hearing no clear answer, he goes on to ask Chihaya and Todo. They offer to have a study session, and Kei suggests it be done at Todo’s place. Despite initially disagreeing with the request, Todo accepts it and invites them over.

Upon arriving, they are greeted by Todo’s older and younger sisters, and Kei is filled with jealousy. He reveals that his dream of having an older and younger sister is second only to his dream of having a harem. Chihaya then explains some baseball terms to Kei and Yamada, revealing he was a fan of how easily Kei could do all that before. Kei then asks Kiyomine if he wants him to return to his former self.

However, Kiyomine replies by telling him he is still Kei. Kei promises to get better so they can get their revenge on Teitoku. Todo is shocked by their declaration and asks them to get another shortstop. The episode then reveals Todo’s past and how he broke down after losing to Kei and Kiyomine. It also reveals the anxiety and downward spiral he had been on before arriving at Kotesashi.
