Joel Edgerton doesn’t know if Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 2 is happening or if he’ll be in it if it does become a thing; however, he’s pretty sure he’ll be dressed in brown if Owen does show up again.

Speaking with /Film, Edgerton, who plays Owen Lars within the universe of Star Wars, said he was not sure if Lucasfilm had any plans to make a second season of Obi-Wan Kenobi.

“I haven’t heard,” Edgerton said. “Either it’s happening and they don’t want me … or it … I don’t know, I haven’t, no. The short answer is no, I haven’t. And I’m not even faking that I don’t know.”

He added, “But, if it does happen and I am in it, I’ll probably be wearing brown, or some shade of brown. That’s all I know.”

Edgerton made his Star Wars debut as Owen Lars — the surrogate father of Luke Skywalker — in 2002’s Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones. He reprised the role in 2005’s Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith before then appearing in two episodes of 2022’s Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Deborah Chow on a possible second season

Deborah Chow, who directed all six episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi, has previously spoken about potentially continuing the titular Jedi’s story in another season. While nothing has been confirmed by Lucasfilm at this time, Chow told Variety in August 2023, “I mean, you’ve still got 10 years. So, there’s definitely, I’m sure, more stories to be told. For this one, we really did conceive it as a limited [series]. It really was meant to be beginning, middle and end. But you never say never … For me, just getting to spend more time with the character and Ewan as that character would be the greatest joy of it.”

All six episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi’s first (and, so far, only) season are currently streaming on Disney+
