Oberlin has reopened in new space in Providence. Here's what you can expect.

Oberlin has reopened at open at 266 Westminster St. in Providence.

Chef Ben Sukle opened the restaurant on Union Street back in 2016. Now a bigger Oberlin has emerged across the street for dinner Thursday to Monday nights from 5 to 10:30 p.m. There is the the promise of lunch and brunch down the road, an outdoor patio, a wood fired oven and more.

Sukle and managing partner Bethany Caliaro opened their Gift Horse in the same building during the summer. Oberlin and Gift Horse will share the Gift Horse kitchen for cooking. Both Gift Horse and Oberlin occupy space in the Trayne Building next to Grant's Block park.

What's on the menu at Oberlin in Providence?

The menu at Oberlin will include all the same house-made pastas — including Chitarra Cacio e Pepe — breads, local fresh fish, including daily whole fish selections, and all the unique wines that made the restaurant popular in its six years. Sukle has been nominated in multiple categories for James Beard Foundation awards.

The new Oberlin is larger than the original, with 60 seats inside. There will be almost as many outside on a patio, Sukle has said.
