Obama Family 10-Year Transformation Drives Fans Wild

One of the biggest viral phenomenons of the year has definitely been the *10-Year Challenge*, and if it were a legitimate contest, the Obama family may have just won. Also known as the Glow Up Challenge, it basically just involved someone posting a photo of themselves in 2009 alongside a shot in 2019 to show the growth. While many took it as an opportunity to troll celebrities and their friends with embarrassing photos and references, many did take it seriously to show off how far they've grown in the past decade.

On Wednesday afternoon, former First Lady Michelle Obama shared a rare photo of the entire Obama family that delivers a major kick in the feels after seeing how much one of the most beloved families in America has grown over the years!

First, take a long look at the family photo (above) from September 1, 2009, showing then-U.S. President Barack Obama, daughter Malia Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama and daughter Sasha Obama sitting for a portrait in the Green Room of the White House.

The New Hotness

The new Obama family photo comes just in times for the holidays, along with a special message from Michelle.

"From our family to yours, #HappyThanksgiving!"

According to PEOPLE, the family pic was taken in May just before Sasha's senior prom, when she was still in high school.

Michelle has aged like fine wine, and although Barack is a bit greyer ... he's distinguished AF. However, the real shocker is the Obama daughters, as 21-year-old Malia and 18-year-old Sasha appear to have aged overnight into beautiful young women.

People Are Shocked

The comments from fans immediately poured in for the family, and Michelle's post soared past 3 million likes within hours of posting.

"Wow, when did this happen! They grew up! Well happy Thanksgiving! Just beautiful," one fan commented.

"Gorgeous fam ❤️🙌📸 thankful for all your positive energy to this universe!!!" wrote another.

A third person got nostalgic, writing, "We miss you beyond words ❤️ integrity, intelligence and stunning to boot."

That sentiment was shared by many others, with comments like "Beautiful !!! We miss you sooo much!!! So happy for you all but we grieve not having you as the President anymore!!"

What Are They Up To?

Since leaving their home at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, the Obama family has done anything but relax and continue to lead busy and influential lives.

Michelle released her very succesful memoir, "Becoming," which sold over 10 million copies, and even went on a nationwide book tour. She also scored a Grammy nomination for Best Spoken World Album for the audio version of her book. She's also very active in the Obama Foundation’s Girls Opportunity Alliance and has announced a trip later this year to Vietnam that will be featured on "Today" and a YouTube series.

Besides speaking engagements, and golfing, President Barack Obama is also working on a memoir that is due to hit shelves in 2020 before the next Presidential election.

As for the Obama daughters, both Malia and Sasha attend college. Malia attends Harvard and Sasha is reportedly enrolled to attend University of Michigan in the fall.

Last month, Barack and Michelle celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary and she penned a sweet message to her husband and BFF.

"27 years ago, this guy promised me a life full of adventure. I’d say he’s delivered. Here’s to our next chapter of becoming empty nesters and discovering what’s next—while still feeling the magic that brought us together all those years ago. Happy anniversary, Barack."
