The Oak Ridge Boys are coming to northeast Kansas, here’s when

MAYETTA (KSNT) – A classic country quartet is set to visit northeast Kansas later this year at a local casino for its farewell tour.

Prairie Band Casino & Resort announced on social media that “The Oak Ridge Boys” will be performing live in Mayetta on Thursday, Sept. 12. Tickets for this show go on sale starting at noon on Friday, June 14.

The Oak Ridge Boys are currently on their American Made Farewell Tour across the nation after a more than 50-year run of performances, according to the band’s website. The quartet is also scheduled to perform at this year’s Kansas State Fair at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 15.

Four of the band’s songs are on the Billboard Hot 100 with one reaching the top ten hits category. These include “Elvira,” “Bobbie Sue,” “American Made” and “So Fine.”

Comedian Jeff Dunham is returning to northeast Kansas

The band currently consists of William Lee Golden, Duane Allen, Richard Sterban and Ben James, according to the band’s website. Joe Bonsall, who joined the band in 1973, stepped back from touring in 2024 due to the onset of a neuromuscular disorder. In 2015, the band was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, Tennessee.
