Keyshia Cole invited O.T. Genasis to perform during a recent show in Los Angeles, where the former opponent of hers apologized for his Crip-mix to her classic hit “Love.”

During the show, the Cali rapper performed his popular tracks, “Cut It” and “Coco” before confessing his remorse for the parody-song.

“I apologize to you,” he said on stage to Cole. “I wanna tell you I’m sorry and when I met this woman she is the sweetest. I just wanted to let you know here in front of everybody that I’m sorry.”

Cole in return accepted his apology and acknowledged calling him a “Ninja Turtle” in the past. The two then embraced each other in front of the audience.

The track in question, titled “Never Knew,” hears O.T. remixing the familiar chorus as: “So cuh, never knew that I was Crippin’/ If a ni**a get to trippin,’ I’ma ride/ Cuh, never knew that I was Crippin’/ If a ni**a get to trippin,’ I’ma ride.” The track was removed from his YouTube account over a copyright claim.

Upon the discovery of the thugged out version of “Love,” Cole said at the time, “I would like for my classics to be left alone. Is that wrong as an artist to say? And then people hitting me up saying like, ‘Oh, I would never listen to Keyshia Cole’s song the same.’”

However, the Oakland native announced that she has even more music coming with her eighth studio album, which is currently in production.

“I’m wanna say I appreciate you. If you ever bought an album,” she told the crowd. “Album eight right now on the way. I wanna give a shout out to my mom Frankie. If you watched the reality show, if you watched her, I just wanna say thank you. You helped change my life. Thank you.”
