NYPD Seek Suspects in Thwarted Manhattan Robbery

The New York Police Department (NYPD) has appealed to the public for help identifying two would-be robbers who tried to steal a necklace off a woman walking on the Upper East Side of Manhattan on August 27.

Footage shows two men on a moped approaching a pair of women walking on E 89th St at approximately 12:17 pm, police said. A move is made toward one of the women’s necklaces and a scuffle ensues. The men, both wearing hooded sweatshirts and helmets covering their faces, leave on moped after the unsuccessful attempt.
