NXT Underground Match Announced For NXT Battleground

An NXT Underground match has been added to the card for NXT Battleground.

The alliance between Lola Vice and Shayna Baszler imploded on the May 21 episode of WWE NXT. The duo lost in the main event, where they faced Natalya and Karmen Petrovic. After the bout, Vice dropped Baszler with a cheap shot, and Baszler put Vice in the Kirifuda Clutch. They started brawling, and Ava told them that they could have the match at NXT Battleground.

Baszler upped the stakes by saying she wanted it to be an NXT Underground match.

Baszler has a decorated career as an MMA fighter, as she has competed for UFC and Invicta Fighting Championships, among other promotions. She has also competed at the Grappling World Championships. As a former Bellator MMA fighter, Vice also has a fighting background.
