Luckily, it comes immediately after the main credits. The 2023 Michael Chaves-directed movie is part of The Conjuring Universe, and the film’s very last scene serves as a reminder of that. The Nun 2’s running time is 110 minutes, just a little bit shy of two hours. It shouldn’t be too challenging for fans to wait until the end of the mid-credits to watch that additional footage. Once that’s done, you can leave the theater, although waiting for the end of the full credits is a nice way to pay homage to everyone involved in the project.

The story of The Nun 2 goes down four years after the events of the first movie and sees the return of Taissa Farmiga as Sister Irene. This time, Sister Irene will team up with Sister Debra (Storm Reid) to take on her old enemy, Valak (Bonnie Aarons). Fans can expect to see familiar faces from the franchise, including Jonas Bloquet‘s Frenchie.

Chaves (The Curse of La Llorona, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It) directed the film from a screenplay by Richard Naing and Ian Goldberg, based on Akela Cooper’s latest draft. The cast includes The Chronicles of Narnia alum Anna Popplewell and Katelyn Rose Downey (The Princess).

The Nun 2 will haunt theaters starting September 8, 2023.
