A number of Texas targets attending the Red River Showdown
Texas has an opportunity to make a statement against rival Oklahoma on Saturday. A victory at the Cotton Bowl this weekend would be the biggest of the Steve Sarkisian era and create a whirlwind of momentum for Texas.
This historic rivalry game serves as an immediate recruiting boost for the winning team. The Longhorns and Sooners often compete for the same prospects on the recruiting trail due to close proximity. Having the golden hat on display in team facilities is a great recruiting tool both coaches would love to have.
Both Texas and Oklahoma sit inside the top six in 247Sports’ team composite for the 2023 cycle.
Texas is not allowed to officially host any visitors as Oklahoma is the designated home in this year’s game, but multiple key targets are still expected attend.
Here is a look at some of the biggest names making the trip to Dallas for the highly anticipated matchup between the blue blood programs.
