NSYNC reunite at Justin Timberlake show, performing past hits and new song 'Paradise'

"Bye Bye Bye" and "It's Gonna Be Me" were on the set list at the one-night-only show in Los Angeles.

Justin Timberlake took NSYNC fans to a better place Wednesday night by reuniting with his former boy band members to perform some of their greatest hits in Los Angeles.

J.C. Chasez, Joey Fatone, Lance Bass, and Chris Kirkpatrick joined Timberlake on stage at the Wiltern for his one-night-only show, where they performed live together for the first time in more than a decade. The set list included past hits "Bye Bye Bye" and "It's Gonna Be Me," as well as the group's recently released song "Paradise," a feature on Timberlake's upcoming sixth studio album, Everything I Thought I Was.

The group previously linked up at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards to present Taylor Swift with the Best Pop prize, sparking speculation about new music two decades after their 2004 split. "Are you doing something? What's gonna happen now?" a flabbergasted Swift asked on stage. "They're gonna do something, and I need to know what it is."

New music did, in fact, come in the form of "Better Place," the group's first song together since the 2001 album Celebrity. The upbeat pop track was recorded for the soundtrack of Timberlake's animated film Trolls Band Together.

Wednesday's reunion marked the first time NSYNC performed together since the 2013 VMAs, where Timberlake was awarded the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. Other performances at the Wiltern show included Timberlake's hits "Suit & Tie," "Rock Your Body," "My Love," "Señorita" "Sanctified," and "Cry Me a River."

Timberlake teased "Paradise" during an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show earlier this year, telling the host that the band had been in the studio together. "It's kinda crazy," he said, "like, there's so much that just picks up where it left off, as far as the chemistry."
