NRA’s Dana Loesch Once Pitched a Sitcom About ‘Hot Young Mom’ Starring Her, TV Producer Says
Don’t quit your day job, Dana Loesch. If you’re hoping to salvage that decade-old TV pitch, that is.
Loesch has fast gained notoriety as the NRA spokeswoman representing the organization amid intense backlash after the Parkland school shooting last week. Her newfound fame was enough for “NCIS: New Orleans” producer and “Geostorm” co-writer Paul Guyot to tweet about a sitcom idea he says Loesch pitched him several years ago.
“Dana Loesch came to me 10yrs ago pitching a sitcom starring herself: ‘A hot young mom who does far right radio show,'” Guyot wrote Wednesday, the night of Loesch’s much-talked about appearance at a CNN Town Hall on gun control. “Said her age & looks would make 1 side hate her & 1 love her so everyone would watch. Was obsessed w the potential fame & money. I turned her down.”

There you have it. The guy who co-wrote the movie “Geostorm” says he turned down Loesch’s “hot young mom” sitcom that “everyone would watch.”
In case you don’t have that town hall appearance memorized, it’s worth noting the NRA spokeswoman expressed her thoughts on today’s programming, saying CNN “loves mass shootings” and that “crying white mothers are ratings gold.”
Loesch didn’t immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment.
