You Can Now Shop the Novogratz' New Line of Rugs — See Their Favorites from the Collection

After making its debut to the design community at the High Point Market furniture fair in October, the Novogratz rug collection is finally available to shop on allmodern.com. Read on to find out what inspired the pieces, straight from their designers, Robert and Cortney Novogratz.
Designing a rug collection has always been a dream of ours. Whether a rug is the inspiration for a room or the final touch, a great rug anchors any space. With a family of nine, having cozy rugs in our home is super important — a few of us are always lounging on the floor with big pillows when we’re all watching movies or hanging out.
This past year we’ve been lucky enough to design a line of rugs with Momeni, a company that’s been developing rugs for over 40 years, and it’s been such an exciting journey. They’ve given us total creative freedom — a key to any good partnership — while teaching us all about rug qualities and manufacturing techniques.
Here are a few of our favorites from the collection, which just launched exclusively on allmodern.com, along with the design inspiration behind them:

Word play is something we’ve always loved and incorporated in our own home. Our FAMILY rug is great in any space — a living room, a play room. We love little reminders that family is everything. Opt for the colorful version if you’re feeling bold, or the gray and white if you want something more muted.

This is one of the more classic looks from the line. It’s fashion-driven and feels super European. It’s the perfect shade of blue. Pair it with cognac or grey furnishings for a sophisticated, beautiful palette.

Like its name hints, this rug was inspired by vintage women’s stockings. The great thing is that the pattern is a nod to a more traditional look, but the shag texture makes it more modern. This ivory-and-white color, as well as the black-and-white version, are neutral enough to work in almost any space.

Our move to California has not only inspired us to spend more time outdoors, it’s also given us so many great ideas for patterns. Our Bungalow area rug was designed with the cool California aesthetic in mind. The plush quality and bohemian pattern make this rug a perfect addition to any room.

Robert’s dad was an all-American football player at West Point and a colonel in the U.S. Army, so this design is really special to us. This rug is great for people who serve or have served our country, or even in kids’ rooms as an introduction to the alphabet.

Our juvenile rugs are never too kiddy; we like for them to be transitional so that you can use them in every room of the house. “You do you” is like the modern “To each his own.” With four teenagers, you can imagine that this phrase gets used a lot in our home.
More than anything, each design project reminds us to trust our gut and to go big or go home. We’re so thrilled that we’ve had this opportunity to create and to share. Here’s to hoping you find a rug in our collection that makes your home a reflection of who you are.
