This is the weirdest AP poll of the 2017 season.

Sunday’s post-Week 10 poll is unchanged at the top with Alabama at No. 1 and Georgia at No. 2. Then things get weird.

Notre Dame moved up to No. 3 and Clemson jumped to No. 4. Oklahoma, who was No. 8 last week, rounds out the top 5. Wisconsin fell two spots to No. 6 despite winning at Indiana to stay undefeated.

Miami jumped to No. 7 after a win vs. Virginia Tech and Washington jumped three spots to No. 9 after thumping Oregon.

Ohio State was No. 3 a week ago and fell all the way to No. 11 after losing at Iowa. That’s an eight-spot drop following a 31-point defeat. Penn State, which was at No. 7 a week ago, fell nine spots after losing 27-24 on a last-second field goal at Michigan State.

Yes, Penn State dropped more spots than Ohio State did despite losing a closer game to a better team in the eyes of AP voters. Weird. And the Nittany Lions are now five spots behind the Buckeyes even though Ohio State won the head-to-head matchup by one at home.

Michigan State moved up to No. 13 while Michigan is back in the poll at No. 21 after beating Minnesota. The full poll is below.
