North West turns 5! Kim Kardashian celebrates her 'best friend for life'

Happy birthday, North! Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s little girl is celebrating her fifth birthday Friday, so naturally the KarJenner tributes are pouring in.

Kim, 37, acknowledged the special occasion on Instagram with a sweet post, exclaiming, “You have brought more joy into my world than I ever could have imagined.”

The Wests are currently in New York City and kicked off festivities on Thursday as Kim and North went for ice cream at CoolMess. “We are making our own ice cream today since we’re in New York for North’s birthday, we’re making chocolate and vanilla,” the Keeping Up With the Kardashians reality star shared on her Instagram Story. They filled up both flavors with lots of goodies. And it appears they had a great time as Kim declared it “insane!”

And because age 5 is a big deal, they also hit up Dylan’s Candy Bar.

Kris Jenner also shared a birthday post for her granddaughter.

We’re not sure if North is on Instagram to see these well wishes — she is savvy with an iPhone, after all — but we’re sure she’ll appreciate it one day.
