North Dakota Teen's Ramen Noodles Freeze in Bitter Temperatures

The National Weather Service forecast “life-threatening” cold for much of North Dakota on Saturday, February 13, with temperatures expected to dip as low as -59 Fahrenheit in places.

Isis Sio, who lives in Dickinson, North Dakota, decided to demonstrate the extremity of the freezing weather by bringing a bowl of noodles outside.

The video shows the bowl as it’s left outside, with a levitating fork and noodles frozen in place.

Isis’s mom, Erin Sio, told Storyful that it took about 20 minutes to freeze the noodles solid from boiling hot. Credit: Erin Sio via Storyful
