Noname’s tour for ‘Sundial’ launches in Chicago

The from-Chicago music artist known as Noname will launch her first tour in years in Chicago this fall, according to an announcement Tuesday.

The tour comes after the release of her album “Sundial,” which has already received critical acclaim. The Sundial Tour will launch at the Riviera Theater on Oct. 11, with tickets on sale 10 a.m. Aug. 25; more information on her @nonamehiding Instagram page.

The rapper born Fatimah Nyeema Warner grew up in the Bronzeville neighborhood and had her first performance success as a slam poet in Chicago’s Louder Than a Bomb competition. In 2013, she contributed to the track “Lost” on Chance the Rapper’s “Acid Rap” mixtape. “Sundial” follows 2018′s “Room 25″ and her 2016 mixtape “Telefone.” The 22-date tour concludes in Portland, Oregon.
