  • Noah Gragson—one of the top talents in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, is getting his shot at the Cup Series next season with Petty GMS.

  • Gragson, 24, is currently fourth in the NASCAR Xfinity Series points and has three victories this season for JR Motorsports.

  • The driver will replace Ty Dillon, who was informed earlier this summer that he was being let go by the team.

Noah Gragson is finally getting a full-time opportunity in the NASCAR Cup Series, as it was announced Wednesday that he will fill the seat of the No. 42 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 at Petty GMS in 2023.

Gragson, 24, is currently fourth in the NASCAR Xfinity Series points and has three victories this season for JR Motorsports. He has eight wins and 52 top-five finishes in 123 career Xfinity Series starts.

Gragson will replace veteran Ty Dillon at Petty GMS. Dillon has managed just one top-10 finish and is 30th in the points standings for the team this season.
