No TV Show Or Movie Side Actor Deserved Their Own Spin-Off Like These 19 Side Characters

Sometimes in movies and television shows there are side characters that have bigger protagonist energy than the main character.

1.Boy Meets World — Shawn & Angela

ABC

Introduced in Season 5 of Boy Meets World, Angela Moore (Trina McGee) quickly became the apple of the leading side character Shawn Hunter's (Rider Strong) eye. Quickly, the twin flame couple overshadowed the romantic relationship of main characters Cory Matthews (Ben Savage) and Topanga Lawrence (Danielle Fischel), proving to have more depth and complexity comparatively.

In the concluding season of Boy Meets World,  Shawn and Angela were left unfinished, and to much dismay didn't end up together in the BMW reboot, Girl Meets World. As unfair as that was for many fans, what should have happened was that Shawn and Angela break out into their own spin-off series, navigating their love and life together.

2.Pineapple Express — Red

Red (Danny McBride) was like a cat with nine lives in Pineapple Express. Extremely funny would be an understatement for this character, and his presence in this movie is evidence enough for why he should've had his own movie.

3.Bring It On — The Clovers

The East Compton Clovers, the rival cheer squad of the Rancho Carne High School Toros, were the moment in Bring It On. Clover head cheerleader, Isis (Gabrielle Union), and her fellow cheer mates and friend group (R&B girl group Blaque) brought all of the drama and much-needed sassiness to an otherwise basic teen movie.

Bring It On is as iconic as it is mostly because of the fictional high school cheer squad The Clovers. Instead of continuous Bring It On's with everchanging characters and cheer teams, there needs to be a follow-up Bring It On that is exclusively centered around The Clovers.

4.Mean Girls — Damian

Damian (Daniel Franzese) had all the tea in Mean Girls, and his flamboyant personality made for great memes in internet culture. I could totally watch an entire movie that stars Damian and his flamboyancy.

5.The Hangover series — Mr. Chow

Legendary Pictures

Mr. Chow was an eccentric and lively drug dealer that completely bettered The Hangover series with his hilarious one-liners. We absolutely need a feature film focused solely on Mr. Chow (Kim Jeong), like yesterday.

6.Empire — Porsha Taylor

Porsha Taylor (Ta'Rhonda Jones) complemented Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson) well on Empire as her assistant. The two played well off each other, and Jones always managed to be just as equally entertaining as Henson was as Cookie when she portrayed Porsha. In my opinion, Porsha could hold her own in a spin-off series. Maybe it could be a dramedy about her being a personal assistant to big names in Hollywood's hip-hop scene.

7.Finding Nemo — Crush

Crush from Finding Nemo, voiced by Andrew Stanton, was a pure part of the film and he deserves his own movie with his son, Squirt. Period.

8.Grease — Betty Rizzo

Paramount Pictures

Um, it's Rizzo (Stockard Channing). Who wouldn't want a full Rizzo movie solely about this badass greaser girl.

9.ATL — Star & Veda

Overbrook Entertainment

These two ghetto fabulous twins Star and Veda (Khadija and Malika Haqq) were just as memorable as Nu-Nu (Lauren London) was in the film ATL. Not only were the designer-downed always, but they also had a certain southern fly girl swag that helped make the film a hit. I would love to see a spin-off film with the ATL twins for sure.

10.Pirates of The Caribbean — Tia Dalma/Calypso

Tia Dalma, portrayed by Naomie Harris, was an enigma in The Pirates of the Caribbean series and her true identity was the reveal of all reveals in Pirates of The Caribbean: At World's End. Within the Pirates of The Caribbean franchise sea goddess Calypso, bound in human flesh under the alias Tia Dalma, always needed her own movie.

11.Black Panther — Erik Killmonger

Now before ya'll start in the comments, I'm well aware that Erik Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan) died in Black Panther. However, in an alternate universe, Killmonger would have survived and would've gotten his own spin-off feature film within the Marvel universe.

12.Insecure — Kelli

Kelli is loud, funny, and TOO real. We all love her as the crazy BFF that is in Issa Dee's (Issa Rae) friend group in Insecure, and we would love her even more if she had her own series.

13.Will & Grace — Jack and Karen

NBC

Jack (Sean Hayes) and Karen (Megan Mullally) were the heart of Will & Grace. The dynamic shady duo were both wildcards and loved being the center of attention, making them spicy partners in crime. I would LIVE for a Jack and Karen spinoff television series.

14.Soul Plane — Jamiqua and Shaniece

20th Century Fox

Soul Plane wouldn't be half as funny as it was if it weren't for the TSA agents Shaniece (Loni Love) and Jamiqua (Mo'Nique). An entire Soul Plane sequel needs to be done with them as the main characters.

15.Hercules — The Muses

The Muses in Hercules had supreme singing voices, style, and regality. Voiced by  Lillias White, Vanéese Y. Thomas, Cheryl Freeman, LaChanze, and Roz Ryan, a movie about The Muses would be a great follow-up to the Hercules film because of how impactful those characters were in the film.

16.Kill Bill — Nikkia Bell

Now Nikkia Bell (Ambrosia Kelley) needs her own spinoff movie since in the first installment of the Kill Bill series Beatrix Kiddo (Uma Thurman) killed her mother Vernetta Green (Vivica A. Fox) out of revenge for Green's trespasses against her. It would be kickass for Tarantino to do another Kill Bill type film with Nikkia as the protagonist, searching to get even with Beatrix for killing her mother.

This would be plausible since in the film Beatrix tells Nikkia that if she still feels "raw" about her killing her mom when she got older then she could find her.

17.The Incredibles — Lucious aka Fro Zone

Disney needs to stop playin' and do a Fro Zone movie already. Fro Zone (voiced by Samuel L. Jackson) already contributed to the greatness of The Incredibles, therefore it's only right he gets his own separate film.

18.Pitch Perfect — Amy

Universal Pictures

Rebel Wilson as Amy in Pitch Perfect was comedy perfection. I'm surprised there hasn't been a spinoff of Pitch Perfect with Amy as the focal point yet. This was definitely a missed opportunity.

19.Superbad — Fogell aka McLovin

Columbia Pictures

Something was inherently hilarious about McLovin (Christopher Mintz- Plasse) in Superbad. He could've definitely carried his own spinoff sequel.
