The weekend before Halloween, it would be easy to expect audiences to sit down for some spooky TV. But looking at the streaming and linear charts for the Samba TV Weekly Wrap Report for the week of Oct. 23 to 29, you’d be forgiven if you couldn’t guess the season.

Only two programs across both charts this week could be deemed Halloween-adjacent: the Netflix horror drama “The Fall of the House of Usher” in seventh on the streaming chart after several weeks in the top 10 and “Goosebumps,” on Hulu and Disney+, which lands at ninth on the streaming chart.

Beyond those, the familiar fare of movies and prestige TV content is dominating the streaming chart with reality and competition series accounting for most of the linear top 10. Case in point: “No Hard Feelings,” a summer theatrical release starring Jennifer Lawrence, tops the streaming chart. The comedy drew 2.4 million households during its first week after being added to the Netflix library, with Hispanic households over-indexing by 7%.

“No Hard Feelings” sets the pace for a week where Netflix holds the top seven spots on the top 10. “Old Dads,” last week’s most-watched streaming program, is second this week.

It is followed by three new titles. “Pain Hustlers,” a drama starring Emily Blunt and Chris Evans, is in third, while “Get Gotti,” a docu-series about the FBI’s pursuit of infamous mob boss John Gotti, is in fourth place. Landing at fifth is “Life On Our Planet,” a nature series executive produced by Steven Spielberg that explains evolution and survival of the fittest, complete with CGI dinosaurs.

That’s followed by “Bodies,” the science-fiction detective series, which remains in sixth place for the second consecutive week.

Following Netflix’s domination this week, “Loki,” the latest Disney+ Marvel series, slides from fourth to eighth, while “The Morning Show” on Apple TV+ hangs on at 10th on the charts.

And even though audiences didn’t watch a lot of Halloween-themed content this week, they did hear voices — three episodes of NBC’s “The Voice,” that is. The singing competition is on a five-week run atop the linear chart, and it also captured fourth and fifth place this week.

The exceptionally popular cable series “Yellowstone” continues its triumphant run on CBS, which is airing the entire series from the start as it waits for the air to clear on the writers’ and actors’ strikes. It’s in second place this week.

“Dancing with the Stars” slides down one spot to third this week, while “Saturday Night Live” moves from eighth to sixth, aided by host Nate Bargatze. Fox’s “Hell’s Kitchen” returns to the charts this week in seventh, followed by “Survivor” in eighth, “The Golden Bachelor” in ninth, and another Fox returnee, “Lego Masters,” which ends the list in 10th place.
