NJPW Star Master Wato Suffers Torn ACL

NJPW star Master Wato is set to miss a significant chunk of time, as he has been sidelined with an injury.
At NJPW The New Beginning on January 23, Master Wato announced that he would need surgery due to an ACL tear. He vowed to return even better than 100%, and he set his sights on SHO, who attacked him.

As of this writing, there is no word on how long Wato will be out of action or when he will return to the ring.
Wato has competed for NJPW since 2016, as he came up through the dojo system. He also had an excursion with CMLL. Wato is a former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion, and he won the Best of the Super Juniors in 2023.
