Nixa Public Schools names new principals for junior high, Inman Intermediate

Following a series of leadership changes at Nixa Public Schools, the district announced three more moves this week including principals at Nixa Junior High and Inman Intermediate.

Amy Thomas will be the next principal for Nixa Junior High, replacing Jared Webster, who was recently named the new executive director of secondary education.

Thomas has been assistant principal at the junior high since April 2021. She has more than 20 years experience, 12 of which have been in Nixa.

She has also been an instructional coach, an instructional technology facilitator, English teacher, and in special education, where she held roles as a teacher, a speech implementer, and a disability resource counselor.

Morgan Kelly has been named the new principal at Inman Intermediate, replacing Liz Gredell, who is moving to the John Thomas School of Discovery.

Kelly has been principal of Ozark North Elementary since July 2021. Kelly previously served as an assistant principal at Ozark North Elementary from August of 2015 to June of 2021.

Kelly previously taught at Nixa as an elementary classroom teacher and at Spokane as a middle school math and science teacher.

Kelly has also been awarded the Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals “Assistant Principal of the Year” for southwest Missouri in 2018 and was named the “Employee of the Year” in Springfield Business Journal’s Dynamic Dozen.

The district also announced that Ryan Mahn, instructional coach at John Thomas School of Discovery, will serve as an assistant principal for the district's elementary schools. He has also been an elementary science coordinator for the district. His exact placement will be decided before August.
