Nipsey Hussle Tower Being Built Where Rapper Was Tragically Gunned Down

A tower commemorating Nipsey Hussle is being built where the rapper was tragically gunned down months ago.

The "Racks In The Middle" rapper's longtime love, Lauren London, made the announcement on Friday after news spread a chain linked fence has been set up as a lot barrier.

"As a notice to the public, we're putting up a gate on Thursday, August 1st, 2019 to enclose the plaza at 3420 W. Slauson Ave to start the early development stages of the fourthcoming Nipsey Hussle Tower to commeroate [sic] and honor the life and legacy of Nipsey," London posted on behalf of his clothing company, The Marathon Clothing.

Her post also stated that his store will "remain closed" until construction is over, but they will continue taking orders online.

The Store:

The Marathon Store is the location where Nipsey Hussle was tragically gunned down back in March.

It has remained closed since his passing, but rappers close to the late artist -- like T.I. and Meek Mill -- have helped keep his memory alive by encouraging fans to continue to buy his clothing.

His Death:

As The Blast reported, Eric Holder was arrested on April 2 for the murder of Nipsey Hussle. He pled not guilty a few days and his bond was set at $5 million.

His charges include one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon.

Holder faces life in prison if found guilty.

The District Attorney's Office believes Holder confronted Nipsey after a conversation where the rapper accused Holder of snitching.

Holder allegedly opened fire on Nipsey Hussle while the rapper was outside his clothing store in Los Angeles.

His Kids:

Nipsey left behind his longtime girlfriend, Lauren London, as well as the 2-year-old son, Kross, they shared together.

The rapper also had a daughter, Emani Asghedom, with his ex, Tanisha Foster.

His sister is currently battling Tanisha in court in an attempt to get custody of the 10-year-old.
