While Nintendo has since released the Switch OLED model (in-stock and available for $339 on Amazon and $350 at bestbuy.com), the original Nintendo Switch is at least $50 cheaper and gets you almost all the same features, minus the OLED screen. Instead, the Switch is a portable gaming system with an HD touch screen, and a pair of detachable “Joy-Con” controllers on either side.
The console comes with a “dock” accessory that allows you to play games on your TV — often in a higher resolution. The consoles hybrid nature makes it an excellent choice for gamers who want to take a single library of HD games with them everywhere they go. One of the reasons for the Switch’s popularity is its impressive roster of games, including the latest entries, like Super Mario Bros. Wonder, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Pikmin 4, and much more.

If you’re looking for something more portable, Target has the Nintendo Switch Lite: Isabelle’s Aloha Edition bundle priced at $200. It comes with the “lite” handheld version of the Nintendo Switch in coral. The lite version doesn’t have detachable Joy-Con controllers and is not compatibility with TVs via dock. Instead, it’s all all-in-one that’s lighter and more compact.
The bundle also includes a digital download code for Animal Crossing: New Horizons (a $60 value). This means you’re essentially getting the game for free since the Nintendo Switch Lite itself retails for $200.
Coral not your color? Walmart has the Nintendo Switch Lite: Timmy & Tommy’s Aloha Edition bundle going for a slightly cheaper prices of $199. It has everything that the Target bundle comes with, but the handheld console is turquoise instead of coral.
Meanwhile, Best Buy has plenty of deals on refurbished Switch consoles, from the wallet-friendly Switch Lite, to the latest Nintendo Switch OLED model.
Nintendo games can be purchased as physical game cards, or downloaded to the system’s internal memory.
