While the Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit game is a free download from Nintendo, you need a Nintendo character kart set to actually play it. Create a course
If Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is starting to get stale, then you just might need a more realistic challenge. The Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit—Luigi Set comes with four cardboard checkpoints or 'gates' that you can place on a floor (at least a 10 x 12 foot area) to create your own course.
Each set comes with a physical kart (in this case with Luigi in the driver's seat) that comes equipped with a camera, so you can get a point-of-view look at all of the action. The set syncs to your Nintendo Switch, so you can use its Joy-Con controllers to drive your way through the course. Just make sure to clean your floors first!
