Nine camping, RV spots with reservations still available for Austin's total solar eclipse

A total solar eclipse is passing over Texas in a few short weeks and if reservations at hotels and campsites tell us anything, Central Texas is going to be full of eclipse-watchers.

If you haven't made a reservation for the eclipse, which will happen on April 8, fear not. We've rounded up nine camping and/or RV sites that still had reservations available during the eclipse weekend on Thursday evening:

Circuit of the Americas RV Park

A total of 55 RV spots were still available for April 7-9 at COTA RV Park, 9201 Circuit of the Americas Blvd., the morning of Feb. 29, according to Campspot. Prices start at $48.50 a night. To make a reservation, visit: campspot.com.

Kingsland RV Park

At least a dozen RV spots were still available Thursday morning at Kingsland RV Park, 404 Euel Moore Drive, for April 7-9, according to Campspot. Prices start at $100 a night. To make a reservation, visit: campspot.com.

Patriot RV Park in Bertram

Only one spot was still left at Patrio RV Park in Bertram Thursday evening. Prices at the park, 900 Brooks Mill Road, start at $50 a night. To make a reservation, visit: campspot.com.

River's Edge Campground in Johnson City

Twenty-two at River's Edge Campground in Johnson City, 1217 Highway 281 North, were still available Thursday evening for April 7-9, according to Campspot. Camping spots start at $55, RV spots at $125, and cabins start at $225 a night. To make a reservation, visit: campspot.com.

Windy Point Park on Lake Travis

Fifteen camping spots were still available Thursday evening at Windy Point Park on Lake Travis, 100 Windy Point Road, for April 7-9, according to Campspot. Sites are $80 a night. To make a reservation, visit: campspot.com.

Austonia RV Resort in Del Valle

A total of 44 RV spots were available Thursday evening at Austonia RV Resort in Del Valle, 4105 Doctor Scott Drive, for April 7-9, according to Campspot. Prices start at $75 a night. To make a reservation, visit: campspot.com.

Longhorn RV Resort in Niederwald

Only 11 spots were left at Longhorn RV Resort in Niederwald, 12921 Camino Real, on Thursday morning for April 7-9. RV spots are $60 a night and cabins are $100 a night. To make a reservation, visit: campspot.com.

Austin Motor Village in Del Valle

Austin Motor Village had 12 RV and six camping spots left for April 7-9 on Thursday evening, according to Campspot. Prices at the RV park, 13010 FM 812, are $29 a night for camping and $49 for RVs. To make a reservation, visit: campspot.com.

Wisteria RV Park in Del Valle

Just two RV spots for April 7-9 remained Thursday evening at Wisteria RV Park in Del Valle, 2750 FM 812. RV sites are $65 a night. To make a reservation, visit: campspot.com.
