SXSW has released another stacked lineup of performers and tapped Nile Rodgers, the legendary record producer and Chic co-founder, as a keynote speaker for the 2017 festival and conference event.
Rodgers who is revered as one of the architects of disco and has more than 200 production credits to his name, from works by Madonna to David Bowie, Duran Duran, Daft Punk and Sister Sledge, will appear on stage in the Austin Convention Center on March 15.
The dance music pioneer joins Zane Lowe, the creative director and lead DJ for Apple's Beats 1 radio station, as a keynote speaker for the annual confab, organizers announced Tuesday.
The March 10-19 musical gathering just got bigger by the tune of 200 artists, from the likes of Aminé (Portland, OR), Beach Slang (Philadelphia), Greg Graffin (New York), Sven Helbig (Dresden, Germany) and Temples (Kettering, U.K). For more information visit SXSW.com.
