Nikki Bella had a big night when she attended a party to mark the end of her illustrious wrestling career, but she laid the smackdown one last time by blowing people away with her amazing look. The former WWE Superstar took to Instagram this week to reveal photos of herself and boyfriend Artem Chigvintsev as they prepared to head out to her soirée, which went down last week in Arizona.
"Good Morning Bella Army! Going to use this post for a few things. First, this was my look for my retirement party last week in Phoenix, AZ! @thebriebella and the @totalbellas crew put it together for me and it meant SO much! (@justinmaxx you’re a rockstar! Love you!) Bella Army your videos made me cry! Can’t wait for you all to see it on Total Bellas!"
She continued showing gratitude for all the people who helped her attain success in her career while flaunting her gorgeous look in a custom apple-red Dolce & Gabanna dress.
"Secondly, I have done so much work on myself and continue to do it everyday. Work on regret, sadness, pain, being better, being stronger, being healthier, and overall happiness! Today’s Bellas Podcast is about gratitude and showing it everyday this month and not just on Thanksgiving. It’s a very good Opening Up!
"Thirdly, I’m so grateful that @honeybeileen flew in and out on a crazy schedule and missed a date night with her man to come do my glam I always love for my party, @honeybeileen beyond grateful for you girly! Why Did She Retire?
35-year-old Nikki first announced back in March on her "Total Bellas" TV show that she would be retiring from professional wrestling. Afterwards, she told Jimmy Fallon that the retirement was due to a cyst on her brain.
“For me, I really wanted to go back and fight for the tag titles,” Nikki said on the "Tonight Show."
"I’ve always had my neck issues, and after neck surgery, it hasn’t been okay. I feel like I needed to get a checkup before we went back for the tag titles."
"The results came back, and I herniated the disc above where I had surgery. I have all this inflammation around the metal and then I have a cyst on my brain. So they were like, ‘You’re done, no more, you’re out,’ so I didn’t get a choice, which sucks.”
Already Teasing a Return?
Even though Nikki has officially retired from the WWE ring, she and twin sister Brie Bella were already teasing fans with some sort of return. In the photo, shared by Brie, The former Divas Champions were dressed in their wrestling gear. "Special day today.....one I’ll never forget," she captioned the pic.
The photo caused fans to immediately start begging for the ladies to return to the ring.
"omg i’m legit crying 😭 seeing you two gorgeous ladies in your gear is the best," one fan wrote.
Another commented, "It makes me happy that you’s have your gear on 😍😍 @thenikkibella @thebriebella , come back and kick butt soon!! We all miss you."
The pic was also geotagged to Orlando, FL, and the WWE is in nearby Tampa taping NXT on Friday ... so it's possible something special does go down.
