Nikki Bella and 'DWTS' pro Artem Chigvintsev are engaged — and have been since November
Nikki Bella has been sitting on some major news: She’s engaged.
The Total Bellas and Total Divas star, 36, revealed on social media Friday that her 37-year-old boyfriend, Russian pro dancer Artem Chigvintsev, popped the question during a trip to France in November — and she said yes.
“Excited for 2020 and the next decade with you,” the retired pro wrestler wrote to her fiancé, whom she was partnered with on Dancing With the Stars in 2017 but started dating in January 2019 after her engagement to John Cena ended. “I said yes in France in November! We have been trying to keep it a secret but really wanted to share our excitement for the New Year!”
Photos showed Bella and Chigvintsev hugging and kissing with a band positioned behind him. She was holding a red rose in one hand and a Champagne glass in another. A second photo was of her sparkly engagement ring.
Chigvintsev shared the same photos in a post, writing, “You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. So excited for what’s to come I love you more than anything and thank you for saying Yes.”
This will be the second time Bella (real name: Stephanie Nicole Garcia-Colace) will say “I do.” On Total Divas in 2014, she revealed that she was briefly married to her high school sweetheart at 20, but the marriage was annulled three years later.
She almost walked down the aisle with fellow wrestler — and now movie star — Cena. They started dating in 2012, became engaged in 2017, but called it — and their impeding nuptials — off right before the wedding in May 2018. While they briefly got back together, they split for good in July 2018.
Chigvintsev was previously married to his dance partner, Giselle Peacock. They tied the knot in 2004 but split a year later.
