Nika King Jokes She Hasn’t Paid Rent In 6 Months Amid ‘Euphoria’ Hiatus

Nika King uses the standup comedy stage to joke about her financial status as Euphoria season three is on hiatus. In a TikTok video shared on Monday (March 4), the actress exclaims that she is just as ready for the next installment as the fans although her reasoning is different.
“Season 3 is coming out… I don’t fu**ing know,” she announced to the audience. “Don’t ask me. I don’t know.”
King continued, “People are like, ‘We need season three!’ Bi**h, I need season three… I haven’t paid my rent in six months, and Zendaya’s over in Paris at fashion week. I’m like, ‘bi**h, come home! I need you!’”
King continued to vent in jest as the crowd laughed, “I’m serious. I haven’t booked nothing since Euphoria. This is some bullsh*t. I thought my career was on the rise after Euphoria. I thought I was good. It don’t work that way. I called Taraji [P. Henson] and she was like, ‘Bi**h, get used to it.’”
In the drama series, King stars as Leslie Bennett, the mother of the complicated character Rue portrayed by Zendaya. Also starring Hunter Schafer, Sydney Sweeney, Maude Apatow, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, Angus Cloud, Barbie Ferreira, Dominic Fike, Eric Dane, Storm Reid, and Colman Domingo, Euphoria‘s third season has been delayed by unfortunate events.
Cloud died in August 2023 at the age of 25, and the year before that, Ferreira announced her decision to not return to the series. As of November 2023, Euphoria is set to return in 2025.
