Nik Bentel's Latest Invention Is the Espresso Martini Bag

Nik Bentel is back with another incredible design, this time taking inspiration from a cult-loved cocktail, the humble Espresso Martini.

Bentel teamed up with Absolut Vodka to create "The Absolut Espresso Martini Handbag," a bag which takes cues from every aspect of an espresso martini. As an avid coffee drinker, the designer came up with the idea whilst attempting to make his own espresso martini at home, following suit of Bentel's previous designs, each inspired by typically mundane aspects of everyday life.

The new design is made from leather, chromed steel and tritan plastic, featuring a detachable purse which is otherwise held inside the cup through a magnet. With a distinct attention to detail at the heart of the design, Bentel explains that the leather construction was the most important aspect of the process, with the base leather needing to be molded properly in order to fit the coupe glass.

The espresso martini bag follows a range of innovative designs from Bentel, including his Shipping Box Bag, multiple iterations of the Pasta Bag and most recently, his Manila Folder Bag. As with all of Bentel's work, the new bag will be available in a limited-edition run of 200 units and once sold out, no more will be made.

The Absolut Espresso Martini Handbag will be available for purchase from Nik Bentel's website from November 25, retailing at $199 USD.
