Nicole Richie Says Being Mom to Her Kids Harlow and Sparrow Has Been the 'Most Wild Ride'

The actress shares her kids with husband Joel Madden

Nicole Richie is proud to be a mom to her two kids.

In a recent sit-down with Interview Magazine, the actress, 42, was asked to share her opinions on motherhood at large. Richie, who is mom to daughter Harlow, 16, and son Sparrow, 14, shares her kids with husband Joel Madden.

"Motherhood is the most wild ride and the absolute best," Richie said when asked about the topic.

The Simple Life alum was also asked about her opinion on twins, given that her husband is one part of Good Charlotte alongside his twin brother Benji Madden. "Raising twins is nuts," Richie teased.

Earlier this month, Riche was asked in an interview with Variety if her kids had ever seen any footage of her 2003 series The Simple Life with Paris Hilton, 43.

"The Simple Life is apparently having a big moment on TikTok, so they do tell me that they watch clips on TikTok," Richie said of her kids. "Their friends watch it. I get a lot of eye rolls in my house all the time. It's right on brand with how they see me, in general."

As for if her kids will join their mom in the industry, Richie said she doesn't think it's likely.

"I'm not sure. I highly doubt that my son does," the mom of two told the outlet. "My daughter might but she's not banging down my door asking about it. She's really living that 16-year-old life."

A week earlier, Richie's two kids made a rare appearance as they came out to support their mom at the premiere of her film Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead in Los Angeles.

The teenagers looked just like their parents as they appeared side-by-side for a family shot together at the event held at The Grove.

Harlow — who appears to have inherited her mom’s eyes and smile — sported long straight blonde hair, along with a matching smokey eye and all-black ensemble. While Harlow rocked a black bandeau top and leather-look pants, Richie dressed in a velvet mini halter dress featuring a gold chain collar.
