After the star's sister Sofia Richie revealed that she welcomed her first baby with husband Elliot Grainge on Friday, May 24, The Simple Life alum celebrated the moment with a comment on the social media post announcing her niece's arrival.
"I now have a new favorite EG. sorry Elliot," Nicole, 42, wrote, referencing newborn Eloise Grainge's initials, which are the same as those of Sofia's husband.
Nicole's husband, Joel Madden, also celebrated Eloise with his own comment, writing, "❤️❤️❤️The ⭐️ of the family❤️❤️❤️."

Sofia, 25, announced Eloise's arrival with a post shared on Instagram.
"Eloise Samantha Grainge 🤍5•20•24 best day of my life🤍," the model wrote alongside a black-and-white photo of her little one's feet cuddled into a pair of hands.

Sofia confirmed she was pregnant with her first baby in an interview with Vogue earlier this year.
While chatting with the outlet, she said of her baby, "She’s growing pretty fast, so [the due date] is a bit up in the air."

Then, speaking with PEOPLE recently, the actress recalled her own experiences raising kids and how she brought them on tour with husband Madden, 45, while we was traveling across the globe with Good Charlotte. (The pair are parents to daughter Harlow, 16, and son Sparrow, 14.)
“When my kids were born, my husband was on tour, so they grew up on a tour bus,” Nicole said. “I was setting up a pack-and-play on the floor of the tour bus."
She added, "We turned one of the bunks into cribs, and that’s how they spent a good portion of their childhood, which I think is fun.”
