Nicole Murphy Speaks On Losing Partner Warren Braithwaite To Cancer
Nicole Murphy shares a heartfelt message on social media after losing her partner Warren Braithwaite to cancer. On Sunday (March 10), the 56-year-old uploaded a selfie with Braithwaite to her Instagram story, with kindhearted words.
Beyoncé’s “Heaven” plays in the background of the temporary post, set to begin just as the repetitive “But Heaven couldn’t wait for you/ No, Heaven couldn’t wait for you,” chorus echoes in the mournful track.
“I miss you so much my love,” began Murphy in her statement. It is the first time she has spoken publicly about the tragic loss. “May you rest in peace my sweet. It’s so hard not hearing your voice or seeing your face. You were my world & my everything.”
News of Braithwaite’s passing was reported on March 5. The couple had been publicly linked since July 2023, with Braithwaite even attending the wedding of her son, Myles Murphy in September of that year.
Throughout their relationship, Murphy shared candid moments on her social media, including videos and photos from holiday celebrations, date night dinners, and more. Following the news, Braithwaite’s social feed has been adorned with condolences.
“Lost a good friend, a brother, a childhood friend today,” read one message. “We gonna celebrate ur life way over the top cause that’s who u where!!! Rest easy!! aka trees aka 50grand aka wild oats love u bro **k cancer!!!!! @nikimurphy stay strong sis.”
