The actress' attire was breathtaking, a dazzling long sleeveless gold gown adorned with shimmering sequins that caught the sunlight. The dress cascaded past Kidman's feet, forming a five-foot train that elegantly trailed behind her.

To complete the look, she wore a matching gold watch, rings, and earrings and heightened her stature with a pair of pointed black heels, most of which were discreetly concealed beneath the outfit's train.

Kidman also wore her hair loose, styled in a manner that artfully framed a part of her face as it cascaded down to her shoulders.

Kidman gave a very touching speech while receiving her award, emphasizing that this was the first time she was letting her teenage daughters join her on the red carpet.

According to ABC News, the talented actress thanked the long list of directors she has worked with over the course of her career, such as Jane Campion, Baz Luhrmann, Sofia Coppola, Yorgos Lanthimos, and Sydney Pollack.

"It is a privilege to make films. And glorious to have made films and television with these storytellers who allowed me to run wild and be free and play all of these unconventional women," Kidman said during the speech after receiving the award from former honoree Meryl Streep.

She added, "Thank you for making me better at my craft and giving me a place, however temporary, in this world."

Kidman's selection for the award was announced in November 2022. Initially slated for June 2023, the ceremony was postponed due to Hollywood's strikes.
