Nicole Kidman, Antonio Banderas and Harris Dickinson have signed on for Babygirl, an erotic thriller that reunites A24 with Bodies Bodies Bodies filmmaker Halina Reijn.

Sophie Wilde, who starred in horror movie Talk to Me, and veteran actor Jean Reno are also on the call sheet for the feature that Reijn wrote and is directing. A shoot is scheduled for December in New York.

An examination of power dynamics and sexuality, Babygirl tells of a powerful and in-control CEO (Kidman), who begins an affair with a charismatic intern (Dickinson).

Banderas is playing the husband, while Wilde is the CEO’s assistant who watches the affair unfold. Reno is a rival business executive.

David Hinojosa of 2AM will produce alongside Reijn, who is producing via her Man Up Film, and A24, which is financing the project.

Julia Oh, Zach Nutman and Christine D’Souza Gelb of 2AM will serve as executive producers.

A24 was behind Reijn’s Bodies Bodies Bodies, a slasher flick that satirized class and friendship. That movie, which the filmmaker directed, earned positive reviews and close to $14 million at the box office in 2022. A24 previously acquired Reijn’s directorial debut Instinct.

Kidman’s big-screen effort was a turn in Robert Eggers’ Viking drama The Northman and she next appears in DC movie Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

Banderas had a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny and plays King Herod in the upcoming Christmas movie Journey to Bethlehem.

Dickinson is one of young Hollywood’s rising stars, having appeared in Triangle of Sadness and Where the Crawdads Sing, both released in 2022 and earning him buzz. He is in the awards circuit now with wrestling drama Iron Claw, starring alongside Zac Efron and Jeremy Allen White.

Kidman is repped by CAA, Media Talent and Jackoway Tyerman, while Banderas is repped by NuCo Media Group and Hirsch, Wallerstein.

Dickinson is repped by Gersh, Brillstein Entertainment Partners and Brecheen Feldman while Wilde is represented by Hamilton Hodell in the U.K., WME Agency in the U.S. and IMC Talent in Australia.

Reijn is repped by CAA and Jackoway Austen.
