Nicolas Cage Celebrates His 'Surrealist' Birthday with Wife Riko Shibata at the 2024 Golden Globes

Nicolas Cage is celebrating his 60th birthday at the 2024 Golden Globes!

Cage and his wife Riko Shibata stopped by the Variety and Entertainment Tonight red carpet pre-show ahead of Sunday's awards ceremony, where the Dream Scenario star reflected on what he described as the "second most epic birthday of my life."

“I’m just looking at this whole experience as one big birthday party," Cage, who is nominated for best performance by a leading actor in a musical or comedy, said. "It’s my surrealist birthday party. I’m excited to see everybody; everybody’s invited to my birthday party.”

“Everybody, everybody - absolutely," he added, when asked who he would like to have sing "Happy Birthday" to him during Sunday's broadcast.

Cage wore a black-and-gold suit on the red carpet Sunday, while his wife Shibata, 27, wore a maroon-colored coat and matched her husband with a black bag at her side.

Shibata is Cage's fifth wife; the couple met in Shiga, Japan and tied the knot on Feb. 16, 2021, in a "very small and intimate wedding at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas," as a rep for the actor told PEOPLE at the time.

Cage told Flaunt Magazine in October 2021 that he had met Shibata through mutual friends while he filmed his 2021 movie Prisoners of the Ghostland in Japan. The couple made their red carpet debut in July 2021 at the premiere of Cage's movie Pig and welcomed their first child together, daughter August Francesca Coppola Cage, in September 2022.

"I'm really happily married. I know five is a lot, but I think I got it right this time," Cage told the Los Angeles Times of his marriage in January 2022.

Cage and Shibata welcomed August Francesca on Sept. 7, 2022. August is Cage's third child; he is already a father to sons Kal-El, 16, and Weston, 31, from previous relationships.
