Nicola Peltz Beckham Says Marriage to Brooklyn Beckham Feels Like a ‘Never-Ending Sleepover Play Date’ (Exclusive)

Nicola Peltz Beckham is loving married life!

The model and actress, 29, described her marriage to Brooklyn Beckham as a “never-ending sleepover” as she spoke to PEOPLE the day before her second wedding anniversary at the Snapple® Solar Speakeasy event on April 8.

“I feel like when you're on a sleepover or a play date and it's like you're always like, ‘oh, can they sleep over again?’ And you just are on a never-ending sleepover play date,” Nicola tells PEOPLE at the event in New York City. “That's how we feel. He really is my best friend. I feel like that.”

When asked how she plans to celebrate her anniversary with her husband, she shares, “[Brooklyn] told me he was going to surprise me … What the surprise is... maybe it's another dog who knows! My love language is dogs. God no, we have five already."

Nicola, who has partnered up with Snapple to promote the brand’s new Elements® Sun flavors, also opened up about her favorite memories from her wedding two years after tying the knot.

“I would say two come to mind,” she tells PEOPLE. “One, my Nani was my maid of honor, so she danced. I remember I got really nervous talking in front of people or in front of crowds … But right before I walked down the aisle with my dad, I heard everyone clapping and cheering. It was because my Nani had her flowers and she was dancing down the aisle.”

Nicola recalls her second favorite wedding memory being when she ran off to share a special quiet moment with her new husband.

“I think that someone gave us advice, which is I think the best advice to anyone who's soon to be married, is to grab your partner and even if it's for two minutes … throughout the night and just be like, ‘oh my God,’ ” she continues.

“Just have a moment with them, because I know sometimes weddings, there's so much happening, so many people. Brooklyn and I ran off a few times and I feel like those are the special moments.”

Nicola and Brooklyn, 25, tied the knot on April 9, 2022, at her family estate in Florida. The lavish ceremony was attended by Brooklyn’s parents David and Victoria Beckham and siblings, along with Nicola’s family and friends at the time.

Since being married, Nicola has remained close to the Beckhams, and last month she celebrated Easter with the family.

In photos posted by her mother-in-law Victoria, 49,  Nicola was snapped joined by her husband and parents-in-law, and Brooklyn’s sister Harper, 12, and brother Cruz, 19, as they sported matching bunny ears on a yacht.
