Nicki Minaj took home her fifth straight BET Award for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist on Sunday night, but it s her impassioned acceptance speech that really stole the show.

The 31-year-old MC then turned on the sass, flipping her hair as she levied what many are calling a diss at her fellow nominee Iggy Azalea – though she insisted she was throwing “no shade.”

“My point is, what I want the world to know about Nicki Minaj is, that when you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it,” she told the crowd.

The “Pills n Potions” rapper also surprised the audience with a confession, admitting she found herself close to death but didn’t want to call an ambulance out of fear she d wind up on gossip website TMZ.

“And it made me realize, I don’t care what anybody got to say. I’m going to do me,” she said. “And I hope and pray that BET continues to honor authenticity.”
