Nicki Minaj Is Really Petty After Switching Name On Twitter
Nicki Minaj is making it social media official with her man, Kenneth Petty, by changing her last name to match his.
Earlier this morning, the singer changed her normal Twitter name to “Mrs. Petty." It had previously read, Ms. Minaj, for some time.
Recently, during her "Queen Radio Show" on Apple Beats 1, Minaj revealed that she and boyfriend Kenneth Petty have obtained their marriage license.
"We did get our marriage license," Minaj said, adding that, "I think I have what I was striving for, just happiness. It was so hard to get to a happy place. Now that I’m there, I don’t want to compromise that for anyone or anything.
Minaj’s relationship with Petty is clearly going strong despite the heat she caught right after their relationship went public in December 2018.
Petty even co-starred in Minaj's new video for her song, "Megatron," in which she raps about Petty and his controversial criminal past.
"I f--k him like I miss him, he just came out of prison Bi--hes be talkin' shit, but they ain't got a pot to piss in My name is Nicki M, I'm in a sticky Benz That mean it’s candy apple red, I’m Barbie, this is Ken."
In June, the rapper answered questions from her fans when one asked about her boyfriend Kenny. The fan asked, "is Kenny a fan of 'Nicki Minaj' or does he only love 'Onika' ? If so, what's his favorite album/song by you ? & would you ever date a person who isn't necessarily into Nicki Minaj but into Onika?"
"He won’t even say the word 'Nicki,'" Minaj responded. "He has called me onika since I was 15 so it’s hard to change that. I wouldn’t date anyone cuz I’m about to be married to my soulmate. But that was the problem, others r infatuated w/Nicki Minaj he DGAF about this industry & is very protective."
