It’s very rare that Nicki Minaj goes on Instagram Live with a guest, unless she absolutely adores them or has a collaboration coming. Over the weekend, Minaj was joined by Monica and Keyshia Cole, where the trio jokingly rapped and sang together — sparking rumors of a potential collab.

During the livestream, Minaj challenged the two R&B sangers to a freestyle, where they would have to follow up to the Queen MC’s bars. “Listen to me, I’m gonna start the rap. Who got second, who got third? You have to be on-key,” the “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” star insisted while snapping her fingers to create a beat.

Kicking it off, she calmly rapped, “Monica and Keyshia/ Me, I’m Onika,” as Goonica came in with, “I’m Mo, I kick down doors/ I been with the sh*ts, I already told you before.” KC took it home with the line, “So I’m KC you know me/ I’m from the town, I’m town bound/ I ain’t around right now, I’m in the booth/ It’s the new doo doo.”

Elsewhere the coveted artists attempted to harmonize a melody, as Minaj struggled to stay on key as she took lead.

“I got a new harmony,” Minaj started while bellowing out, “Pay me my money/ ain’t a thing funny,” leaving Monica and Keyshia with gut-busting laughter. The two songstresses attempted to follow Minaj’s shifty melody, which she claimed she couldn’t keep a tune because she was “born that way.”

The award-winning rapper then suggested names for their faux group including, “KOM and MOK (Monica, Onika, Keyshia),” and “Monickicole” which manifested from putting their names together. The two singers didn’t seem to like either moniker. See below.

Minaj and Cole have collaborated before on the 2010 track “I Ain’t Thru,” as Monica and the mother-of-one have yet to work together musically. However, its possible that Minaj’s forthcoming fifth studio album Pink Friday 2 might see it through, although there is no confirmation.

The highly-anticipated LP is scheduled to release this Friday (Dec. 8) on Minaj’s birthday. Ahead of the album, Minaj has released singles, “Red Ruby Da Sleeze,” “Last Time I Saw You,” “Big Difference,” and “Super Freaky Girl,” although she has not revealed an official tracklist yet.

In a recent interview with Vogue, she gave an update on what to expect from the the follow up to 2010’s Pink Friday. “When I look back at a lot of my music, I’m like, ‘Oh, my God, where was the me in it?’ So for this album, I went back to the old game plan,” she said.
