Would Nicki Minaj and Beyoncé Ever Collaborate on an Album? The Rapper Is 'Open' to It

Will “***Flawless [remix]” and “Feeling Myself” be getting a follow-up in the form of an entire album? Never say never.

“I would be open to doing [that] if the time was right,” said Minaj. “I haven’t thought too much about that, though. The only person that I’ve seen a lot of people speak on, when talking about an album of that caliber, is Beyonce?.”

She noted that the suggestion is often inspired by the duo’s previous, aforementioned collaborations and the fact that they’ve “actually performed together.”

“I always see a lot of people saying,’Oh my gosh, a joint album with you guys would be really dope,’ but, you know, those are the kinds of things that are just wishful thinking from fans,” the 34-year-old rapper admitted.

She noted that the concept was “far-fetched,” explaining that artists are usually in such different places in both their careers and personal lives “that it’s hard to make that work.”

In fact, Minaj revealed she was once set to make a mixtape with Future, but their respective locations — he was on tour, she was recording her new album — derailed the venture.

Concluded the star, “So even when you like an artist and you respect their work, it’s very hard to make those types of ideas come to fruition, but when they do come together like the Jay and Kanye [project], then it’s magic for sure.”

Minaj covers Paper’s infamous issue — which once featured a nude Kim Kardashian West on its front —with two clones of herself in a provocative pose. The cover tagline reads, “Minaj à tois.”
