Nicki Minaj apologized for the anti-Semitic images in the lyric video for her song “Only,” released last month. But she brings the controversy again in the official clip (explicit version above) for the track, which features raps from her Young Money Records brethren/rumored love interests Lil Wayne and Drake and a chorus from the notorious Chris Brown.
Even though the song dismisses gossip regarding Nicki’s alleged romantic relations with Wayne and Drake, the guys discuss their undeniable, understandable attraction to Her Minajesty, and she addresses those rumors in her usual fearless, fierce manner.
"Only’s" lyrical content sets up the music video’s dark, S&M treatment. Nicki is dressed in wild dominatrix getups, sometimes wielding a whip, other times wearing a mask, all the while surrounded by scantily clad, bloodied-and-bruised revelers. As for Chris Brown, he appears in separate scenes, singing his parts while wearing a menacing expression and a villainous pair of yellow"Thriller" contact lenses.
The “Only” video seriously makes Rihanna’s 2011 video “S&M" look tame. The only racier video out there right now? Well… probably Nicki’s “Anaconda.”
