The 'Victorious' star also revealed that she had no plans to watch ID's 'Quiet on Set' documentary, which highlights abuse some child actors allegedly faced while working at Nickelodeon

Though she left her time on Nickelodeon relatively unharmed, Daniella Monet isn't interested in watching Investigation Discovery's Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV any time soon.

In PEOPLE's exclusive look at her upcoming appearance on the Heal Squad X Maria Menounos podcast, the former child star reacted to the bombshell allegations made in the docuseries and opened up about her own experiences while working for the network.

"I never watched it. I probably won't," Monet, 35, said of the series, noting that she wouldn't describe her time at Nickelodeon as "anything bad."

Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV  explored some of the toxic culture of children’s television shows in the 1990s and 2000s, including many series produced by Dan Schneider. It also featured interviews with former actors, writers and crew members from hit Nickelodeon shows All That, The Amanda Show and Zoey 101, who detailed the sexual abuse, harassment and racial discrimination that allegedly went on behind the scenes.

"The good thing about my journey with Nickelodeon is I was a little older," Monet explained on the podcast, sharing that she was 19 when she filmed the pilot for Schneider's Victorious. "I was an adult and I'd also grown up in the industry whereas like most of my cast, except for Victoria [Justice] of course, like they were kind of green."

With her extensive experience in the industry, Monet said that she "understood the dynamic" and the "unique characters" that she would brush shoulders with on set.

"I feel lucky that like, I came out unscathed and I don't know anyone who's been deeply affected outside of the things that were mentioned in that documentary that I didn't know about, which was really hard to process," she continued, sharing how the business made her grow up "fast."

Though she was able to "navigate certain dynamics in a way that feels right for me" to keep her "feeling safe," Monet confessed she would be "lying" if she didn't share there were "tones" and energies that "didn't necessarily always feel safe or normal."

"I just can't even begin to imagine what those situations must feel like," she said of the child actors who came forward about feeling pressured into unsafe environments. "God forbid if anyone made me uncomfortable. Like, who knows what I would have done or thought?"

"I just I feel so lucky that like, my experience was really special in so many ways," she added. "And I look back at it with such a fun light and now like approaching it again, I have a totally new perspective."
