Before the SEC Championship Game, ESPN personality Lee Corso was the only member of the "College Gameday" crew to pick Alabama to beat Georgia on Saturday.

Corso donned the elephant mascot head with "Sweet Home Alabama" playing.

Alabama beat the Bulldogs 41-24 and earned the No. 1 seed for the playoffs.

Nick Saban, Alabama football's coach, acknowledged Corso's pick while taking a jab at the rest of the show's pickers Sunday in an interview on ESPN.

"He's oldest wisest of the bunch," Saban said of Corso said after Kirk Herbstreit jokingly apologized Sunday on behalf of the rest of the "College Gameday" crew for picking Georgia.

Corso has been a part of "College Gameday" since the beginning in 1987. He has been using mascot heads to make picks since 1996. Corso has picked an Alabama game 47 times. He has gone with the Crimson Tide 34 times, going 24-10.

Before joining ESPN and "College Gameday," Corso was head coach at Louisville, Indiana and Northern Illinois. He played at Florida State
