Nick Saban cracked himself up talking about people wearing ripped jeans (Video)

Maybe it was because Alabama is playing Mercer this week, but Nick Saban was in a pretty good mood for his Wednesday evening press conference.

Before he gave his usual opening address looking ahead to the next opponent, Saban couldn’t help but share his thoughts on the fashion of somebody, specifically their jeans, he saw on his way to the press conference.

“Wore out jeans, holes in them, all cut up. I just remember when I was a kid in West Virginia, I was ashamed to go to school because my jeans were wore out, only because we didn’t have any better. Now they buy them that way,” Saban said.

Saban cracked himself up.

“How did we get here?”

You can also see in the video above Saban goofing on a reporter in hopes that he would ask a good question. The previous question, in Saban’s eyes, involved a bit of “overanalyzing” from another reporter.

“You better be good, Alex,” Saban cracked to Alex Byington of the Times Daily.

Laughs all around.
