Nick Jonas is giving a futuristic glimpse into the launch of his new album with the new single "Spaceman."

The title track begins with an otherworldly cadence that transforms into a reflective pop ballad with lyrics referencing the current state of the world under the coronavirus pandemic making him feel like a man in space. In the second verse, Jonas sings, "Mask off minute I get home / All safe now that I'm alone/ Almost like a spaceman."

"'Spaceman' came into my mind because I was thinking, 'What's the one thing that all of us have felt during this time?' It's just completely disconnected from the world," the "Jealous" singer tells Zane Lowe on Apple Music.

Following "Nick Jonas" and "Last Year Was Complicated," this is the latest solo album from the Jonas Brothers bandmember.

The singer's wife actress Priyanka Chopra is a big fan of the project and a major inspiration behind his work according to Jonas.

"She loves it," he says. "Most of the songs are pretty much just love letters, which when I can't articulate the way I feel with my words with no music, I go to the studio."

The album's tracklist includes skyward titles like "Heights," "This Is Heaven" and "If I Fall." It's scheduled for a March 12 release. While the singer sings melodies of feeling safe at home, the Jonas brother is very busy in the public eye.

He is scheduled to pull double duty on "Saturday Night Live" next week on the show's fifth consecutive episode of the year. It'll be his first time as both the show's host and musical guest.

"A dream come true. Let’s get it @nbcsnl!! See you February 27th!" Jonas wrote on Instagram alongside the big news.
